You used to be able to edit this directly, but now, instead, to make sure that inventory is correctly tracked on the ledger, there's a new adjust button.

1:19

So let's try it out. So, let's imagine that we for whatever reason, there was a slight miscount, and we actually have 23 in this box.

1:31

And there's two options. You can adjust by, so this would increase it, or you can set to. So I'm going to choose set to, and it will preview for you right here what the change is going to be.

1:43

Then, on the next page, it's going to ask you for the reason why. And I'll just say this is a correction, and we'll just say it was a miscount.

1:51

Then we can save that, and the value will update here once that has gone through successfully. And now, if we exit back out of here, and if you want, you can reprint the label.

2:03

And we exit out of here. So now, if we click into item X, and go back to the history tab, we will see that the inventory was adjusted, it was a downwards adjustment, and here's the updated quantity.

2:20

Note that the quantity in stock here is always showing you what it is for the specific label of the inventory.

2:26

This is inventory, not a sum total. If you want to see the sum total of what you have in stock, you can click over into the inventory tab, and here it will show you exactly what you have.

2:38

As well as the total. So, notice here, it's not a history, so that's why you'll want to click over into this tab.

2:44

And when there is an adjustment, there's a new object type as well, which you can click into for more information.

2:51

So, as you can see here, and then you can see the note that was added was that it was a miscount, so you'll always have access to view that in there.

2:59

Another way to view these adjustment information is here on this new tab called Adjustments. And this will show you the adjustments across all inventory types, rather, or rather all types.

3:13

Well, across all items, rather than just the one that I was looking at. So here you'll be able to see the history of everything that was done, all the corrections, all the notes, etc.

3:23

And you could also, again, click into these to view the details. I'm going to go back to the Overview tab, and so that was how to adjust an existing inventory item.

3:34

But now I want to show you, like, what if you actually just want to add a new one. So, you can come in here.

3:41

We'll say, itemX, I'm going to add that. And, again, note the messaging up here is going to remind you that if you are receiving it, you should do that.

3:53

If it's production, you should use that. But if there is some other reason, where you need to manually add it, this is how you would do that.

4:00

And we'll scroll down here, and we can enter in how many. Let's say we've got 10 here. I'll put this in this also in the test location.

4:11

And then now, instead of just clicking save, it'll click next because, again, it'll ask us for the reason for that adjustment.

4:20

You can also edit to add additional resources. So, I'll just select the correction again, and a note. Now we can save and print.

4:30

The link is available for our new inventory. And you won't be able to see this on the video, but the print screen did pop up for me to print that new label.

4:41

again, we can see our new item has been added, with our new label number. And if I click again back in to the item name, and over to the history, I will see that new one.

4:53

Now sometimes you can do need to refresh the page to see this, depending on how quickly between making the, making the adjustment and clicking in here, but you can see it also will have its detail view that you can click into with the note.

5:05

And yeah, so this is all in service of creating more clarity and getting more in alignment with information so that you always know exactly what you have and why any inventory counts have changed.

5:20

And just like you can see this purchase order here, you would also see other kinds of adjustments based on manufacturing orders, sales orders, etc.
