Video Walkthrough: Custom Inventory Reports

Watch this video for a detailed look at selecting columns, applying date filters, and exporting your final data set.

Step 1: Open the Report Editor

  1. Navigate to Reports: From the left-side navigation bar, click on Reports.

  2. Select Inventory Report: Click on Inventory Report to open the Report Editor. You’ll see a live preview table of your current inventory data.

Step 2: Customize Your Report

  1. Access Column Settings: Click the Column Settings icon above the table.

  2. Deselect All: to custom-select the specific columns and data you wish to see on your custom report

  3. Select Report Essentials:

  4. Reorder and Sort: Drag and drop the columns to change their order

Step 3: Apply Filters

Use filters to narrow thousands of records to only what you need for this report. Your preview updates automatically as you adjust filters.

  1. Date Filter: In the filter panel on the right, select Create Date. Set your range (e.g., January 1st to January 31st) and click Apply.

  2. Status Filter: Click on Status, for this example we only want to show active inventory items.

📘 Digit Tip: The table displays a preview of matching records. When you click Export, Digit processes your full filtered dataset—not just the rows visible on screen.

Step 4: Save and Export

After selecting your columns and applying your filters, it’s time to name the report.

  1. Rename: Click on the default report name at the top of the editor and type the name you want for the report

  2. Click Save to confirm. This report will now appear in your permanent Reports List.

Export: Click Export to download the full dataset based on your selected filters.
