Using AI to Generate Demo Data

The AI Demo allows you to instantly populate your workspace with realistic sample data tailored to your business. This helps you explore Digit’s features without manually setting everything up.

Step 1: Create Your Account

To get started, sign up for Digit using one of the following methods:

  1. Continue with Google

    1. Click Continue with Google for a quick and seamless sign-in.

  2. Sign Up with Email

    1. Enter your name, email address, and a secure password.

    2. Check your inbox for a verification email and

    3. Click Sign up to Digit in the email to verify your account.

Step 2: Set Up Your Organization

Once you've joined, you need to establish your workspace:

  1. Enter your organization name (usually your company name). Optionally upload a company logo to personalize your workspace.

  2. Click Create organization to continue.

Step 3: Complete Your Profile

Before generating demo data, you’ll finish setting up your profile.

  1. Write a short bio so your team members can identify you. Add a profile picture (optional)

  2. Review and accept the Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement, and Terms of Service.

Step 4: Generate AI Demo Data

On the AI generation screen, you can create a fully populated demo environment.

  1. Define your business: In the text field, describe your company in your own words.

    2. Use an Industry Template: Select one of the provided templates and refine the description to match your business model.


  2. Build the Demo: Click Build Demo to generate sample items, inventory data, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) so you can explore and test Digit’s features.

This process may take a few minutes. You will also see a short demo video walking you through Digit.


Step 5: Generate AI Demo Data

Once the generation is complete, click Get Started.

You will be redirected to the Items page, where you can begin exploring your generated data.

To review the level of detail created:

  1. Locate an item with a Make type (manufactured item).

  2. Navigate to the Production tab.

  3. Review the AI-generated Bill of Materials (BOM).

From here, you can explore additional modules such as inventory, purchasing, sales orders, and reporting.
